readingsOne of the best aspects of a Carnival Line Fun Ship cruise is that you know you’re sure to get fantastic value for your hard-earned dollar. Carnival Cruise Lines are famous for their fabulous, fun-filled ships, including the luxurious new Carnival Dream, the largest in the Carnival fleet - and for making sure that every cent you spend is made worthwhile. This is what has made Carnival the world’s favorite cruise line. But, having said that, how can you ensure that you are getting the very best of Carnival cruise deals which represent absolute best value for money?

There are often some excellent last-minute deals that can be picked up - either from the Carnival Cruise Line’s own website or one of the other specialist sites who are advertising for Carnival online. The key to these deals is usually flexibility - if you’re open-minded about where you want to travel and have similarly adaptable starting dates, then you’re in the very best position for getting deals on Carnival Cruise ship holidays.

However, there are also some easy to follow guidelines that might be useful to you when deciding when and where to cruise. Incredible Carnival cruise deals are now available for many fantastic destinations around the globe, so it’s worth taking some time to try to spot the best bargain time for your preferred cruise.

Some travellers prefer to take their cruise vacation when the weather is going to be at its hottest - especially those who love to lie on a sun deck and work on the perfect tan! However, many ports of call are, understandably, at their busiest then and they can often be much easier to get around when the weather is cooler. If you’re not necessarily a sun worshipper or it’s the destination ports that really appeal to you, then it’s well worth considering a cruise at the beginning or end of a season.

If you can, it’s always best to avoid peak holiday periods - especially when the schools are out; the demand for places is always going to be at its highest at these times. If you have school-age children to consider, see if there are any regional variations in holiday dates that you can take advantage of when the season isn’t really at its height.

Most of the countries on the Carnival itinerary will have seasonal periods when demand for vacations is at its greatest - the peak season. Knowing when each destination region has its own high season is, of course, a good starting point when getting Carnival cruise deals. The Caribbean, for example, which is a popular choice for cruises, has a high season ranging from December through to April. It is, therefore, often possible to find really good deals in late November/early December or in the late spring. Similarly, most Mediterranean cruises take place during the hot summer months. The weather is still likely to be fine during early Spring and late Autumn - and it is a much better time to visit the tourist hotspots of, say, Venice or Barcelona.

Destinations such as Mexico, Bermuda and Hawaii can be visited throughout the year. However, you’ll still be able to find really good deals for all these beautiful locations, often during the spring and the fall times of year. Just do a little bit of research and then keep an eye open for the best late deals on the internet which are usually well advertised, and you’ll be able to take advantage of the very best Carnival cruise deals on the market.

Finally, you’ll find that getting great deals on Carnival Cruise ship holidays is well worth the effort, so don't give up looking!

readingsFrom the minute you first see your Carnival Cruise Lines ship, with its distinctively red, white and blue whale tail-shaped funnel, you’ll know that this is not going to be an ordinary cruise. Everything about Carnival Cruise Lines is geared towards making your time on board as exciting and fun-filled as it could possibly be.

Forget those images you might have had of cruises being the prerogative of the rich and elderly - nothing about Carnival Cruise Ships could be further from the truth! Carnival Cruise Lines cater for everybody - the only criterion is that you’re looking for fun. With this in mind, all of the ships in the Carnival fleet have been called Fun Ships; and, with over 60 destinations visited, what better way is there of getting to see some of the world’s favourite places.

So, just what is it that makes a Carnival Fun Ship so different? After all, a quick glance at the facilities offered to voyagers would seem to be similar to most of the other major cruise lines. A good selection of swimming pools; plenty of sunloungers on deck and interior lounges with great ocean views for guests to relax in; a wide range of entertainment both day and night; top quality food, with lots of choice; great shopping and a friendly casino - all of these things and many, many more are important attractions to those growing millions of people who love their cruises.

It all comes back to that word Fun. This is not regimented, forced fun but rather it is the whole atmosphere of a Carnival Cruise that means you can enjoy what you want, when you want to. You’ll not be herded off to Bingo or the Wheel of Fortune but you will know that, as soon as you step outside of your well-appointed, generously sized State Room, the whole ship’s crew will be happy to see you and help you make the most of every moment on board. Indeed, they are so confident that you’ll have fun that Carnival Cruises offer you a full refund and flight back home if you’re not completely happy - and no other cruise line makes that sort of guarantee.

It’s not just adults who benefit from the Carnival Fun Ships’ commitment to its guests, though. Specially trained staff run three types of children’s activity programs - for toddlers up to 9 years of age; the Club O2 aimed at those between 15 and 17; and Circle C, for the others. These activities include contests, shows, board games, sports - even karaoke and parties. Let’s face it, if you know your kids are having fun, it means the whole holiday experience is going to be far less stressful for everyone.

With a tempting range of dining possibilities - everything from sushi bars , European-style cafés, 24 hour Pizzerias to elegant formal restaurants - eating well is an important part of the Carnival experience. Again, the kids are not forgotten; there’s plenty of their special favourites on the kids’ menus as well as all day Ice Cream Bars and the Fountain Funcard which, at a very reasonable cost, means they can get soft drinks whenever they want without having to disturb the parents whilst they‘re in the jacuzzi!

Carnival Cruise Lines, then, are different; different enough that now thousands of people wouldn’t consider any other kind of cruise. Some people even get married on Carnival Fun Ships. The pioneer in shorter and less expensive cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines continues to offer great variety, great value for money and, always, great fun.

readingsA Day in the Life of a Carnival Cruise Lines Passenger

Fortunately, there is no such thing as a typical day for a passenger on a Carnival Cruise Lines Fun Ship. Once you step on board these distinctive vessels, you’ll soon realise that every day is going to be excitingly different to the one before. It’s this sense of adventure, relaxation and merrymaking that has helped Carnival Cruise Lines become the favourite choice for thousands of voyagers every year.

From the moment that you wake up in your well-equipped and surprisingly roomy State Room, perhaps looking out onto the unique blue of the Mediterranean or the vast emptiness of the Atlantic Ocean, you will have an almost limitless choice of how to spend your time. First of all, have a read of your special shipboard newspaper, delivered the previous evening when you were out at the Las Vegas style Casino. As well as all of the day’s itinerary laid out for you, you can catch up with the ship’s position and the weather forecast.

Then, it’s up to you. Perhaps a good walk around the ship’s deck before breakfast. Or an early morning swim to help shake off any cobwebs. You know that today you’ve promised yourself an hour or two on the sun deck to top up the tan but this is also the morning that you’ve agreed to visit the Golf Academy and check your swing out with the couple you met in that bar with the great view yesterday.

It’s a nice light bite of sushi for lunch, although you might yield to temptation later and sneak to the Ice Cream Bar, and then this afternoon it’s off to the Piano Bar where that top class girl singer is going to be performing for an hour. A quick manicure and facial at 4 pm and then it’s back to the State Room for a little while before going off to have an intimate dinner for two in the Manhattan-style restaurant, and another bottle or two of that fabulous wine you discovered last night. After that, there’s a really good show lined up featuring that comedian you’ve seen on the television whose name you can never remember - as well as those fabulous dancers - and then it will either be a couple of hours on the dance floor in the night club or another trip to the casino to see if you can possibly be lucky two nights in a row.

It looks like you’ll have to leave the aerobics class, massage and trawl around the duty free shops for presents for the family until the next day at sea. As long as you don’t forget to book for that coach trip for tomorrow’s day ashore; at some stage you’re going to have to go to the Booking Desk - it won’t take a minute.

Every Carnival Cruise Lines Fun Ship is a floating resort with spectacular, extravagant entertainment in the evenings and heaps of activities to keep you busy all day. With top quality food, wonderfully comfortable lounges to relax in and a staff who are fully committed to making your voyage completely memorable, the only thing typical about a Carnival Cruise Lines day is that it will be absolutely fabulous.
